SunValleySourceWinter2017

Okay...so you don’t cross-country, downhill ski or ice skate and you find yourself in our resort town in the middle of winter. The good news is, the Sun Valley/Ketchum area has wonderful boutiques, art galleries, gift and jewelry shops, as well as amazing antique, household and linen stores and first-class restaurants for the most discriminating of tastes. Psychologists say that the act of shopping someplace new can dose the brain with dopamine, a natural chemical that provides deep satisfaction that often starts to flow when we confront something new and novel. This dopamine flow is guaranteed as you explore what our beautiful valley has to offer. You will find items that have been lovingly chosen and curated by the owners, most of whom you will meet – an extra bonus to your experience. I maintain that the best finds are discovered when you have plenty of time to browse. While strolling and exploring, you are sure to pick up that perfect article of clothing or accessory, a piece of jewelry, a gift for that special someone or something for your home or office. You can do better than sweatshirts, snow globes or tshirts with catchy phrases on them here. We have plenty of those fun souvenirs too. But keep in mind that the search is what makes shopping while on vacation fun. In the Ketchum/Sun Valley area, you will discover unexpected finds to cherish and delight in. Who knows, you may discover something wonderful, unique and beautiful, something you would not find anywhere else, something special as a reminder and a memory of your time in our beautiful valley.
