Based on Google population numbers for our valley, we decided to compare the people to restaurants ratio in the Wood River Valley. KETCHUM boasts 45 eateries with a population base of 2,700. That breaks down to 60 people per restaurant. Fortunately for the local restaurants, that fi gure increases considerably when you factor in tourist persuasions. SUN VALLEY has 10 restaurants and Google gives it a population of 1408 or 140 people to restaurants. Like Ketchum, visitor seasons change these ratios drastically. HAILEY has 30 eateries with a population of 8,000 or 267 people to restaurants. With so many to choose from and a variety of menus, you could literally eat in a different restaurant every day of the month. BELLEVUE has 9 eateries with a population of 2,286 or 254 people to restaurants. If you haven’t tried breakfast in Bellevue, you might want to check it out. STANLEY is in a league of its own with 11 eateries (some seasonal) and a year-round population of 69. That fi gure fl uctuates greatly considering the visitors who fl ock to Stanley each season. FAIRFIELD has 5 eateries and a population of 384. That’s 77 people to restaurants. It’s worth a trip to understand why locals love their restaurants. THE SOURCE IS PLEASED TO BRING YOU THE FOLLOWING FIVE PAGES WHICH LIST ALL THE RESTAURANTS FROM STANLEY TO FAIRFIELD. SUN VALLEY SOURCE 85
